Name: Poison Glimmer

History: Glimmer always wanted to be a Cloudsdale weather worker when she was old enough. There was something mesmerising about holding the power of nature in one's hooves, essentially controlling the lives of the grounded ponies with the wind and rain. Unfortunately, her special talent turned out not to be creating weather, but destroying it. As she grew older and her pegasi magic began to appear, the clouds began to corrode beneath her hooves. It got so bad that she was ordered to leave Cloudsdale before she caused too much damage. She left home with a fierce hatred of all other Pegasi and her new...

...Personality: mean spirited, sadistic, cocky. Poison Glimmer's so sure that everypony else is beneath her. Earth ponies and Unicorns literally. She's racist against the 'grounders' because she can fly and they cannot. She is superior to them. Because she's confident that no one is her equal, most of her time is spent alone.

The reason she sides with Nightmare Moon is that she feels a connection with her for being disregarded by her peers, and that she wants a new Equestria where there is a use for every talent. An Equestria where the Pegasi who have their heads too high up in the clouds can be brought down to earth.
